History

Dennis and Yvonne Hewitt are the owners of Ozawkie Boat Company.  The Hewitt family has been in the boat business for over 30 years.  Originally, Jim and Mary Hewitt (Dennis's Father and Mother) built a strong loyalty among their clients when they owned the business.  This tradition is now being followed by Dennis and Yvonne.

In 2007, Yvonne and Dennis decided to expand their operations and became owners of Rock Creek Marina and Resort along with their partners Steve Teske, Stephanie Lemke and Alex Glenn.  They decided to give the Rock Creek Marina and Resort a new face lift and completed many new renovations to the property that you just got to come and see.

Beautiful Lake Perry in east-central Kansas is now the home of Ozawkie Boat Company and Rock Creek Marina and Resort because we have joined forces and are now located all in one location for your convenience at 6049 Westlake Rd (HWY 237), Ozawkie, KS 66070.

Ozawkie Boat Company spends an average of four hours with each customer before delivery of their new boat covering every aspect of operation.  This includes test runs on the lake to make sure each customer is comfortable with the excellent handling and performance provided by their new Champion, Alumacraft, or Playcraft.

The rigging staff has gained a reputation as one of the top bass boat riggers in the country.  Clients have come from across the country to purchase boats from the Hewitt's and have them rigged by the Ozawkie Boat Company. 

The Ozawkie staff regularly compete in local and regional tournaments.  This experience is invaluable in rigging your boat for the ultimate in performance and handling.
